I assume from the title of the first book "SWT: The Standard Widget Toolkit, Volume 1" that there was originally planned to be a Volume 2, and perhaps beyond, but even vol 1 is a rare book. So... what happened?

This effort never got going, though it was discussed for a while after
Volume 1 was released. Steve isn't actively working on swt now, so it's not
too likely that Volume 2 will be written. Hopefully there are enough
resources available on-line to provide insight into swt's less-core parts
that were not in Volume 1 (?).
