Hello everyone,

I'm interested in taking advantage of EMF Compare, possibly through ECL. There is an EpsilonLabs entry that says Compare changes proposed to accommodate this should appear in version 0.9.0. I browsed through the 1.0.1 source code, but was unable to determine just what section(s) the changes might have affected. So, were the changes in fact accepted?

If so, then how does one go about using ECL on top of Compare? Are there any samples? Since both ECL and Compare functionality can be invoked from Java, I could probably manage in that manner. Is there a more direct mechanism?

Thanks for any information!

I believe that the proposed changes have been accepted and implemented
in the latest versions of EMF Compare but there hasn't been any activity
on our side on updating the ECL integration accordingly. Could you
please file an enhancement request for this? If you'd also like to have
a go at it, I'd be more than happy to help!

EMF Compare is highly modular and allows developers to implement their
own matching and differencing engines. Therefore to integrate EMF
Compare and ECL, we implemented a new matching engine that delegates to
ECL. Does this answer your question?

Thanks for the update Dimitris. I'll file an enhancement request once I understand more about just what I'm trying to accomplish. And I'll have a closer look at the EMF Compare matching engine to see what I can find by way of Epsilon hooks.
