Hi,

I am using eclipse 3.4 (ganymede). We are using CVS as the repository.
I have newly created a branch in CVS but i am unable to view this new branch in eclipse, due to which i am unable to take a checkout from this branch.

Can anyone help me on this. Is this some bug in eclipse 3.4

Shwetha,

Maybe you need to refresh the view. Or did you tell the wizard to
refresh the tags. You have to do that before tags and branches will be
populated in the wizard.

I have refreshed the view and asked the wizard to refresh the tags as well. I am able to view the branches created earlier(say about a yr back) but unable to view the newly created branch.

What's your connection type to the CVS server?

Try with a cvs command line client, that should tell you if the problem is in Eclipse or in the server.

I am able to check out from the branch at command line.
So the problem is with eclipse and not the CVS

Check the CVS console to see what cvs commands does it issue (it's the same as the program output console but you have a drop down box where you can choose CVS)
