Update site unusable because of wrong password entered... [message #531273] Tue, 04 May 2010 11:56 Go to next message

When I recently added a new update site I apparently entered a wrong
password twice. After the second error eclipse did not prompt again but
rather added the new entry to the list as-is. It now always just gives an
error message, that it could not log on and does not prompt and allow me to
re-enter the password.

I already deleted and then re-added the update site entry but obviously
(part of) its settings are cached or memorized somewhere, so even after
re-adding the update site I am NOT getting a pwd dialog again but rather
immediately an error msg. that eclipse was unable to log into that site.

How can I erase all traces of an update site such that I will be asked again
for its pwd?

Michael

Never mind! After restarting eclipse it asked me again and I was able to
enter the correct pwd.
