Eclipse starts up fine but I don't get the option to create a new Visual
Class. Under the Manage Configuration option the Visual Editor 1.0.0 is
lised and the Java EMF Model 1.0.0 is listed as a child. GEF 3.0 is not
visible here but is listed under Help/PluginDetails.
The log contains an error, but I'm unsure if it is relevant as it has not
occured repeatedly with each new startup of Eclipse, I'll include the log at
the bottom of this mail.
I would be grateful if anyone could help here!

Have you used the VE before? When you say no option to create visual
class, where were you looking for this?

subfeature of Visual Editor, but it should of been in the list at the
same level as Visual Editor. If not, then maybe you aren't configured
correctly.

I renamed the eclipse folder to eclipse.old and extracted the Eclipse SDK
and other dependencies for VE.
Restarting eclipse with -clean still did not work. I then tried a new
project and low and behold, I had the New Java Visual Class option.
Perhaps both steps was needed for the solution! Though it was a bit of a
pain having to re-import the Java files and set-up jar libraries.
