Dynamic Web Projects (WTP) and TPTP [message #53034] Tue, 07 February 2006 02:58 Go to next message

Hello.

I am trying to follow this tutorial for profiling my Dynamic Web Project:
http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/documents/tutorials/viewlet s/v4.1/WTP/WTP_viewlet_0201_viewlet_swf.html

(It is to build web services using the dynamic web project/bottom up web
service wizard).
http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/community/tutorials/BottomUp WebService/BottomUpWebService.html

I am trying to configure TPTP to use method/code coverage profiling.

System Config:
Windows XP SP2
Java 1.5.0_06
WTP 1.0 (and all prereqs)
TPTP 4.1

I've tried [right-clicking] and I see debug and start. However, the
"profile" option is unavailable (greyed out).

By trying profile as -> profile on server, I get "Could Not Find a Server
for the Selection" error.

Are Dynamic Web Projects supported by TPTP/WTP?

If more information is needed from me, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

I haven't been keeping up-to-date with the WTP integration, but according
to this:
http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/groups/Marketing/pressroom/press releases/BIRT%20and%20WTP.htm
The WTP integration was done in a 4.1.0.1 maintenace release so I'm
guessing this feature wouldn't be available in the 4.1 release driver.
Try either getting the 4.1.0.1 maintenace release or the latest stable
driver for 4.2.

Navid,

Thanks for the information. I was driving myself crazy the past couple
days, only to realize that eclipse's auto updater "auto downloaded" 4.1.0
and not 4.1.0.1. It seems to be working fine (without the "profile" greyed
out).
