Preferences->Label Decorations->Git won't "stick" [message #523035]

Hi,

I can't get the label decorations to stick. I select the Preferences->Label Decorations->Git check box, but the setting won't apply and just reverts back to unchecked.

Everything is selected in Team->Git->Label Decorations.

The Import->Git->Git Repository worked fine, and all the files are imported correctly into the project..

Also, Team->Commit... is greyed out for all files, as well as Push. However, compare and history work fine... (if this is a separate problem, I will post separate topic).

I'm using Eclipse 3.5 with CDT and Egit 0.7.1 using ubuntu 8.0.4.

Any ideas or simple fixes?

There is a known bug in case that there is a .git folder somewhere below a
eclipse project (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=297163). Do
you have that in your case?

Do you have any entries in the error log?

I just checked, and I definitely have that case. In fact, I have three. Here's the directory structure (w company specifics x'd out):

projects/xxx/mx/.git
projects/xxx/dxxxxx/.git
projects/xxx/mxxxx/.git

projects/xxx/.project

Is this the same as the bug you mentioned?

I should note that I have not seen any Java stack dumps associated with this issue.

Checked the .log file and the stack dump is nearly identical to the bug entry. Any idea when this issue will be fixed?
