Hi BIRT community,

Is there a way to create excel type pivot tables in BIRT?

Is this something that is already available and usable or is this something that can be created by extending BIRT?

Many thanks
Alex

Alex,

You could parameterize a crosstab and just rerun the report for
different parameters. Take a look at this example:

http://www.birt-exchange.org/devshare/designing-birt-reports /1181-dynamic-xtab-creation-using-script/#description

It has datasets and a cube defined in the report. Then based on
parameters uses script to create the crosstab.
