Hi all,
We have an Eclipse based product. For some reason whenever we try to add
any new plugin using software updates we get the error message
'Resulting configuration does not contain the platform'. This occurs
both when launching the product from a host Eclipse as a runtime
workbench or when running an exported version of the product.
Adding the plugin org.eclipse.product seems to fix this when the product
is launched as a runtime workbench, but not when the product is
exported. I don't know why this plugin should matter anyway as the
plugin org.eclipse.platform seems to be nothing more than a branding
plugin for the Eclispe platform. We have our own branding plugin which
is included in the list of plugins in the product configuration.
Any ideas?
