hi,i'm new in the forum but i use eclipse for some years.
I install UML2 and UML2 tool but when i try to create uml diagram from file->new-> i can't select "other".
why its possible?

How did you install them? Which versions? Into what base Eclipse
version? It sounds like perhaps there were unsatisfied dependencies.
You might look in <workspace>/.metadata/.log for messages about why
plugins might have failed to activate.

i install eclipse galileo 3.5 and UML2 Extender sdk 3.0.1.UML2 Tools SDK (Incubation 0.9.0).
for the installation i select UML2for the "modeling" section.

What exactly do you mean by you can't selection "Other". It looks to me
like the "Other..." choice is always there and brings up a wizard.
You're saying you can't bring up this wizard?

That's even more weird. For me that item is always present, even on the
toolbar button with the + on it (the first one). What do you see on
your menu?

I FIND THE PROBLEM!!!!

it'sin the "Babel Language Pack". for traslation the eclipse in italian (my language), i install the Babel Language Pack but i think there are a serious bug!!!
The question came to me when you said that you haven't items!!!
