Hi everyone.

I am currently working for the open specification OSLC (Open Services
for Lifecycle Collaboration) which is driven mainly by IBM but also
supported by several other companies.

One subpart of this specification is for Requirements Management where I
am taking part in. All participating companies can be seen here
http://open-services.net/bin/view/Main/RmSpecificationCovena ntV1
I myself am from EADS.

(There are also several other spaces in the other sub projects [Change
Management, Quality Management, Asset Management, Architecture
Management, Software Configuration management, Automation, Estimation
and Measurement, as can be seen here
http://open-services.net/bin/view/Main/WebHome])

The aim of this open standard is to create a common set of resources,
formats and RESTful services for the Requirements space and guidance to
implement a Server to hold such information and clients to retrieve/send
them.

This should help to bridge the gap between tools of different parties
and allow a better way of collaboration for different tool chains.

If the OFRM project still is in development, we gladly would request you
to input your opinions and participate in the specification process.

We have reached the Version 1.0 of our specification already, which is
still a very limited specification able to support the most common RM
scenarions. We will now enter the next phase of creating the V2.0
specification, starting by collecting new scenarios and deciding which
ones should be supported by V2.0.
The main part of the communication is performed in bi-weekly calls of
the extend of one hour, a mailing list and the wiki system:
http://open-services.net/bin/view/Main/RmHome

Any help and input is appreciated. If you are interested please contact
me for further details or answer/ask in this newsgroup.

Kind regards,
Torge Kummerow
