Sometimes, when setting the url of an embedded browser to a resource that can be previewed directly (pdf, images, text files), the browser behaves as expected and shows the resource directly, i.e. embeded in the area it occupies. But sometimes, the embedded browser will open the save dialog and the user is asked to save the file to disk.

How can I force to always show the resource directly/embedded?

Hi Erdal,

from where do the resources come from? Normally this happens if the MIME
type is not know to the browser and it tries to download the file.

That is what I thought of, first, but why would the browser show the resources and the next time open the save dialog...

Hi Erdal,

I can't say much why this only happens from time to time. Do the
resources come from the same host? How do you deliver the resources
(remote host or registered via equinox)? If you can reproduce it with a
small testcase, it would be much easier to track this down.
