I don't get it. Of course it's detached, I haven't checked out anything into it yet!

I rely on this feature in the CVS plugin, is there some way to make it work for Subversive? I don't see any reason that it should be a technical requirement that the SVN repository must be set up in the form of an Eclipse project.

I'd just keep using TortoiseSVN, but refactoring is so tedious when I have to move classes into different packages and such.

Um, all of them?

I make a Java project. Then I go to the repository browser and right click on the trunk folder for the project I want to check out and choose "check out into existing project". Then I choose the "src" folder in my project as the checkout destination, and can't proceed due to a message at the top of the window saying "Destination project is detached from the source control." (to give the gist).

Hello William,

If your project isn't connected to SVN, you'll have such a warning message
"Destination project is detached from the source control ...", but Finish
button is enabled and you can press it, after which your resource will be
checked out. Isn't your resource checked out or Finish button disabled?
