The EMO is mentioned in some documents within the eclipse.org
website, but I could not find out:

- which are the different positions within the EMO?
- which persons are on those positions?

Is there any document available?

-

similar to the "board of directors":

http://www.eclipse.org/org/directors.html

[to webmaster: the link "board of directors" in the main navigation bar
points to "directors1.html", which is not existent]

An Councils:

http://www.eclipse.org/org/council.html

The Eclipse Management Organization (EMO) is comprised of the employees of
the Eclipse Foundation, Inc. a US-incorporated not-for-profit company.

There are currently five people working at the Foundation:

Mike Milinkovich --- Executive Director
Skip McGaughey --- Director, Eclipse Ecosystem
Ian Skerrett --- Director of Marketing
Denis Roy --- IT Admin, webmaster
Sharon Wolfe --- Admin

I will make sure that the Board of Directors link gets fixed ASAP. I
apologize for the inconvenience. There are 13 members of the Board
currently. Four representatives of Strategic Developers, five
representatives of Strategic Consumers, two elected Add-in Provider
representatives and two elected Committer representatives.

The Council link seems to be working fine. That shows everyone who is on the
Councils and the minutes of the latest meetings.

I hope this helps.

I am a little confused about the term "Ecosystem"

- Commercial Vendor Ecosystem, which includes
- Strategic developers
- Strategic consumers
- Add-In provider members

or

- Commercial Vendor Ecosystem, which includes
- every commercial vendor around and within eclipse

Administration of daily business etc?

-

Is the EMO a distributed team, or are they located in one office?

-

I would suggest to place all this in a document "emo.html", linked from
the government section of the website:

Governance
Board of Directors
Board Meetings
Councils
EMO
Documents

Please, can I have an answer on those two questions?

I did not find any information on the website.

Yes, Sharon is responsible for administration of daily business.
Specifically, office management, billings, record keeping and the likes.

Currently 4 of the 5 people working here are co-located in an office in
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Skip McGaughey works in North Carolina.

I expect that as we grow we will become more distributed. There is value in
having a small core team in one spot, but the real goal is to get good
people, wherever they may reside.

Thank you for your answers.

A draft version of the emo.html document, based on your answers:

-

"The Eclipse Management Organization (EMO) is comprised of the employees
of the Eclipse Foundation, Inc. a US-incorporated not-for-profit company.

There are currently five people working at the Foundation:

Mike Milinkovich --- Executive Director
Skip McGaughey --- Director, Eclipse Ecosystem
Ian Skerrett --- Director of Marketing
Denis Roy --- IT Admin, webmaster
Sharon Wolfe --- Admin"

"[...]Sharon is responsible for administration of daily business.
Specifically, office management, billings, record keeping and the
likes."

" Currently 4 of the 5 people working here are co-located in an office
in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Skip McGaughey works in North Carolina."

"[...] [We] expect that as we grow we will become more distributed.
There is value in having a small core team in one spot, but the real
goal is to get good people, wherever they may reside."

-

On remark: the term "Organization" was personally to me somehow missleading.

Possibly "Eclipse Management _Office_" would describe it more precise.
