Assume I load an XML file into Eclipse.

Then I right click on the XML file on the left side and select "Validate". The result is shown as a popup
(e.g. "No validation errors)".

Is it possible to avoid this popup and write the result to the "Cosole" pane an the bottom instead?

As of right now it is not possible to write the results to the Console view. It is possible to disable the pop up though. To do this go to "Window -> Preferences -> Validation" then deselect the "Show a confirmation dialog when performing manual validations" option.

If the ability to write to the console is an enhancement you would like to request feel free to submit an enhancement request to Bugzilla.

This was an accidental duplicate post because of browser issues.
