I currently run Fedora 11, Eclipse 3.5 Galileo, and Sun WTK 2.5.2. The Eclipse installation lives in the /usr/share/eclipse-galileo-SR1 directory with permissions that allow me to write into the installation.

I want to install MTJ in the shared Eclipse directory. Installing using the Help->Install New Software tool forces the installation into my home directory. Is there a straightforward way to install into /usr/share/eclipse-galileo-SR1 other than watching for the before & after diffs and manually copying the files?

FWIW, after the install and Eclipse restart the MTJ entries I expect in the Preferences page don't show up.

Thanks.

Bob

I believe you'll find an answer for this on the Eclipse Platform forum.
