Asterisk and boldface in history view [message #503189] Fri, 11 December 2009 05:36 Go to next message

Hi,

I've noticed that in the History view, one of the revisions is always
marked with an asterisk and is shown in boldface. I've tried to find out
why this is in the documentation, but I haven't found anything. Can
anyone tell me what the asterisk and the boldface mean?

Thanks,

Michiel

Hi Michiel,

my understanding is that this version resembles the current version in your workspace.

I.e. if a file in your work space has revision 42 and there is a newer revision 43 for this file,
the history would look like this.

....

Hi Jörg,

thanks for your quick response.

However, I think it may not be entirely correct. If you don't check out
a repository but browse it online, e.g. with the SVN Repositories view,
you can also request the history and it will also show one entry in
boldface and with the asterisk. In such a case, you don't have a
revision of the file in your workspace; you're looking at the revisions
inside the repository.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,

Michiel

Revision for which History is called is marked with asterisk and in bold
face.
