He,

I'm playing with the org.eclipse.ui.activities extension point. It looks great for some kind of user access control. I thought everything with a id can be hidden using an activity. But I can't hide complet toolbars ( using the id of the toolbar ) only the items within the toolbar ( using the items id ). It looks like an bug for me, isn't it ?

Activities are targetted at plugin.xml contributions, and that hasn't been opened up yet. Toolbars aren't currently considered. You can open an enhancement request at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=Platform &component=UI
