Hi,

http://tinyurl.com/yk59woh

I want to ask you what is the difference between "Synchronize" and "Populate" in Team Synchronizing Perspective.

And What exactly is the check box - "Perform the chosen operation automatically on subsequent restarts", what are subsequent restarts ?

In help is anything about this.

Thank you

Hello sNop,

You have to see following description in Sync View:
"This view is not populated on startup. You can choose to populate without
contacting the server or to synchronize with the server."
"Synchronize" means that you contact the server to show Sync view content.
"Populate" means that in order to show Sync view content there's not
contacting the server, it uses previous (before restart) Sync view content,
i.e. Sync view content was persisted and after Eclipse restart it's just
loaded.

>what are subsequent restarts ?
Restarts of Eclipse.

From quick search I also didn't find any help on it too, probably Team
developers thought that it should be clear from description "This view is
not populated on startup ..."; but if you find it as not understandable you
can fire a bug on Team component about it.
