Greetings,

I just downloaded and installed AJDT and AspectJ but I am unable to see
options for creating a new Aspect.

I am using
aspectj-DEVELOPMENT-20050324155000.jar
ajdt_1.2.0.20050407142843_archive.zip
Eclipse M6

Any idea what I am missing here ? Help welcome.

Cheers,

RT

You could check that you unzipped the ajdt zip file to the correct
location, relative to your installation of Eclipse 3.1M6, i.e you should
have: eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.ajdt.core_1.2.0.20050407142843 etc

Alternatively you could try installing AJDT via the Eclipse update site
mechanism, via Help > Software Updates > Find and Install...
and using the following URL:
http://download.eclipse.org/technology/ajdt/31/update
which contains the latest AJDT 1.2.0M3 release.

If you still have problems, you can check your Eclipse error log for any
clues as to what's gone wrong. You can view this via Window > Show View
> Error log.

Hope that helps,

Matt.

Thanks Matt,

The directory you mentioned was there under eclipse/plugins directory
but strangely the AspectJ options were not showing up. Not sure(and
curious) why. The error log show no errors at all.

However, updating from the update site fixed the issue.

Thanks for your help, appreciate it.

Cheers,

Rahul
