I went to Windows > Preferences > General > Appearance > Colors and Fonts > Text Font.

I want to change the font color from black to white but even after i press OK, it changes back to black and won't save the change.

This does not work. You need to change it on the 'Text Editors' page or
in the preferences of the editor in question.

Ah... I had a similar problem. You can access the specific Preferences of that editor by right-clicking on the actual text itself (eg. in a C++ window), rather than in Eclipse's main menu at the top.

That then applies your prefs to the editor.
