Starting mid-May, BZ Media will be publishing the EclipseSource newsletter

BZ Media Acquires Eclipse Properties from Penton Media
Huntington, N.Y., April 25, 2005 - BZ Media LLC, publisher of SD Times and
producer of the Eclipse World Conference & Exhibition, today announced the
acquisition of Eclipse-focused properties from Penton Media LLC, based in
Cleveland, Ohio.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The properties acquired by BZ Media include a digital newsletter called
EclipseSourceT, and two Web sites, EclipseSource.com and EclipseNews.com.
The last issue of EclipseSource published by Penton was distributed on April
22, 2005. BZ Media will begin publishing the EclipseSource newsletter in
early May.
Ted Bahr, President of BZ Media, said, "We are delighted to be the new
publishers of EclipseSource, the leading newsletter for the fast-growing
Eclipse developer community. It's clear that this newsletter, and the
associated Web sites, have tremendous synergies with BZ Media's other
properties, such as SD Times, the newspaper of record for the software

specifically for enterprise developers using Eclipse technologies."
Eclipse is an open platform for software tool integration built by an open
community of tool providers. Operating under an open source paradigm, with a
common public license that provides royalty-free source code and worldwide
redistribution rights, the Eclipse platform provides enterprise software
developers with tools frameworks, integrated development environments,
test/QA tools, a business intelligence and reporting framework and, most
recently, a rich client platform.
The Eclipse platform is hosted by the Eclipse Foundation, a not-for-profit,
member-supported corporation. BZ Media is an associate member of the Eclipse
Foundation.
Alan Zeichick, Executive Vice President and Editorial Director of BZ Media,
said, "BZ Media has exciting plans for EclipseSource. We will be increasing
publication frequency to biweekly and nearly tripling the newsletter's
circulation to 20,000 with the first issue that we publish in early May. We
