[QVTO] How to executing a transformation? [message #496283] Mon, 09 November 2009 15:41 Go to next message

Hello everybody,

I've been working with oAW in the past and used Xtend to transform a
model A conforming to a metamodel AA to a new model B conforming to a
metamodel BB. To do this, I wrote an Xtend file (.ext) and an oAW file
(.oaw) and had this oAW file executed by oAW's workflow engine.

Now I want to do the same with QVTO or ATL. What .ext is for oAW is
..qvto for the M2M project, right?.

But how do I execute .qvto files to transform some model to a new model?

Thanks in advance,

Yes qvto files contains your transformation, i don't know how oAW work (i'm new in M2M ^^ ) but it seems to be the same.

you can execute qvto transformation "by hand" in eclipse or by invoking it in java code:

there is examples of qvto project on eclipse CVS in org.eclipse.m2m.qvt.oml
