Hello,

I'm trying to do validation according to the EVL-GMF tutorial, but I'm failing miserably. I'm trying to reproduce the filesystem example, using the example .emf and .evl files.

I'm a bit suspicious of the way I'm doing Step 1. For creating an integration plugin I go:
New -> Project -> Plug-in development -> Plug-in project
From there I just keep the default wizard settings and don't use any of the template example plugin wizards. Then I edit the manifest according to the instructions.

However, when I fire up a new Eclipse instance, I don't get a Diagram->Validate option.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance! Smile

Hi Michali,

Thanks for reporting this! I've reproduced the problem under Galileo.
The Diagram->Validate option seems to be missing indeed in Galileo (this
does not appear to be an EVL issue but a GMF one). I'll investigate and
get back to you shortly.

Cheers,
Dimitris

Hi Michali,

In Galileo, the Validate option has (for some reason) been moved from
the Diagram to the Edit menu:

http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&goto=47919 2

I'll update the tutorial shortly.

Cheers,
Dimitris
