Does anybody know how it is going on? any release date? any update
against the last EMF/GEF revision? is the code will be available?

thx,
Serge

Serge,

The code is being reviewed by the Eclipse.org legal department and there
isn't a projected completion date.

Is it a good news? Does that mean that the legal process may not succeed?

Serge,

I just got a note today that it's been approved. So now it's a matter
of committing the code to CVS and producing builds. There's a small
chance we could have it available before the new year...

Gordon,

I noticed that the EODM is not mentioned in the new top-level modeling
project proposal. I think it would be a good fit and was going to suggest
adding the OWL metamodel to these supported technologies. Do you have an
opinion on this?

I am also very interested in EODM and have been awaiting its arrival for
over 6 months...

Thanks,
Dave Carlson

We also anxiously await the provisioning of an official version of EODM. The
Higgins project integrated an early "evaluation only" release of EODM.jar
from the IBM alphaworks site many moons ago. Once available from EMFT, we
would no longer have to tell folks to go to download a copy from alphaworks
just to play with Higgins.

Dave,

It's merely an oversight. Everything under EMFT will be subsumed under
the new top-level modeling project.

Dave,

No, I'm not sure of the schedule. I think the proposal usually needs to
be public for about 6 weeks before a review can be held.

Serge,

The EODM folks are preparing to commit the code to CVS hopefully next
week some time, but the Chinese New Year holidays will delay preparing
the builds, which likely won't be available until Feb 17 (i.e., the M5
time frame). I'm glad to see the interest in this. ;-)

Is it a good news? Does that mean that the legal process may not succeed?

Serge,

I just got a note today that it's been approved. So now it's a matter
of committing the code to CVS and producing builds. There's a small
chance we could have it available before the new year...

Serge,

Thanks for your interest to EODM. My team is working with Ed's team on
provisioning the CVS. Hopefully, you can see it soon.

Sadly I can't see any announce of availibility for EODM...
Christmas is gone for a while now, and Santa didn't bring a relase...

Serge,

The EODM folks are preparing to commit the code to CVS hopefully next
week some time, but the Chinese New Year holidays will delay preparing
the builds, which likely won't be available until Feb 17 (i.e., the M5
time frame). I'm glad to see the interest in this. ;-)

All EODM team members came back from Chinese New Year vacation. Now EODM
source code is in CVS, and Nick is helping to produce build.

The first Nightly builds are now being produced. They are for the moment
internal-only, but once the JUnit tests are completed, there will most
likely be first Integration build this Thursday.

Watch for the "[Announce]" post to follow, as with the other EMFT
subprojects.

Cheers,

Nick
