Dear all,
Can I use some UML tools to get emf model for UML
activity or state machine diagram or I can do that only from class diagram?

If there isn't that mean that I need to write model2model transformation.

Thanks a lot.
D.S.

Hi Dusane,

Activity and State Diagram are only an UML specification.
Model to model transformation is provided by the ATL project which
newsgroup is available at:
http://www.eclipse.org/newsportal/thread.php?group=eclipse.m odeling.m2m

Enjoy modeling :-)

Hi Dusan,

M2M transformation is an idea but I think, that has been done already, mayby somewhere nearby M2M engines (for instance SmartQVT). Anyway, UML to Ecore can easily be done with EMF and EMF projects, can't it ? Though concerning transformation of activities and state machines I'm not that experienced.

Regards,
Siegfried
