Hi!

I just saw Riena screenshots and noticed that Riena has Perspective switcher
above the menu bar - similar to the way Google chrome does it.
Can someone explain what one needs to do in order to implement the same in
plain Eclipse RCP application?

Riena looks nice but when we started our RCP development it didn't exist
and now it's to late for us to implement our product on top of Riena.

P.S. Do you have a plan to implement more automatic or more user friendly
GUI update mechanism on top of p2?

Hi Ivica,

Bug 281433 has a snippet attached that demonstrates the basic approach
for that menu bar -- https://bugs.eclipse.org/281433

The drawback is that we cannot react to left / right keyboard events as
discussed in 279167, 281433.

I'm not the best person to answer your questions regarding update/p2.
Maybe somebody else from the team can comment. I remember there is a
Software Update/Provisioning topic in the project proposal.

Kind regards,
Elias.
