I'm stuck trying to define a sequence diagram in the UML2 tree view. I
defined a send operation event and a call event as send event and receive
event of a message. When I validate my model, a warning message tells me
that I have to set the 'operation' of the events. I'm totally unfamiliar
with operations in sequence diagrams. Can someone explain how to define
them?

Samuel,

the CallOperationEvent and ReceiveOperationEvent specify, that an
operation of the Lifeline's classifier (the type of the lifeline,
because a lifeline is an instancen of an classifier) is called. So, the
operation points to an ordinary UML::Operation of an UML::Classifier.
