UML Metamodel specialization with OCL constraints [message #477692] Wed, 27 August 2008 09:11 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hello,

I am doing the "Middle-weight Extension (Metamodel specialization)" from
the presentation "Creating Robust, Scalable DSLs with UML "

http://www.eclipsecon.org/2008/index.php?page=sub/&id=17 2

I really like the presentation but I am missing the validation stuff there.

So I have a question about validating my new specialized metamodel.

How can I bring OCL into the middle-weight extension ?

I think the best way would be connecting MDT OCL with EValidator. Am I
right ?

Regards,

Deepak

Hi Deepak,

There is an explanation of how to "hook up" OCL with UML2 in this article
(see the OCL integration section):
http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/uml2/docs/presentations/ EclipseCon2008_LongTalk_NewFeaturesOfUML2.html

You will need to add the MDT OCL plugins to your environment.

Cheers,
- James.
