Hi
- the default value of multiplicity in attribute is [0..*] according to the
spec page 14 "Each
attribute is specified by its formal name, its type, and multiplicity. If no
multiplicity is listed, it defaults to 0..*"

-the default value of multiplicity in attribute is 1 according to the spec
page 21 "If no multiplicity is shown on an association end, it implies a
multiplicity of exactly 1."

- what is the default value of multiplicity in a part (instance of
component). (when we instnaciate a component that contain a part, if we
don't specify the multiplicity of the part, it wil be 1 or [0..1]?
what is also the default value of multiplicity in Port?

thank you a lot

Asma

Hi Charfi,

The default multiplicity of a part is [1]. A part is a property (there is
no metatype called Part in UML).
The default multiplicity of port is also [1].

Cheers,
- James.
