Is there anything in planning (or implementation) for support
of the soon to be release JSF 2.0 spec?

We are planing to target the Facelets support in the Galileo release. This
will mostly be the work done in the JSF Facelets Tools incubator project.

Were there any major changes/improvements to the Facelets support since
the webinar Cameron presented?

Nothing major. We have added a content assist option on src attributes
that point to template files.
