I plugged in a helpData.xml to put my company's help before the
workbench help. This is working great. We like it because:

1) When searching from the search bar above the TOC pane, the results
from our help is shown first.
2) When searching from the same location, the "Show result categories"
button is set automatically, which highlights that the results are from
our TOCs.

The problem comes when we do a search using the Help -> Search menu
item. In this case, "Show result categories" is NOT set, which leaves
our help somewhere else in the search results (not at the top).

So I guess two questions..

1) Is it intentional that "Show Result Categories" is set when you do a
search from the TOC pane?
2) If intentional, can that same behavior be added for the quick search?

Please advise and I will open a Bugzilla if appropriate.

Thanks
Ben

Show Result Categories is a toggle button which remembers it's state,
however the help view and the help web application do not share that
state. The help view stores the state in a preference and the web
application stores the state in cookies. The default setting is for the
button to be off, so if you saw the button in the on state it would be
because you have pressed it at some point in the past.
