Hi Kallel,

You can do several things with prifiles ...

- It is possible to combine profiles, ie. apply several stereotypes from
different profiles to the same element.
- It is possible to extend UML, and then create a profile for that extended
metamodel.
- You can also create a profile for any metamodel, not just UML (for example
your own DSL).

....You can then create a diagram editor for that profile.

- James.

Hi James,

Thank you for your response,

I extended UML by a new metamodel, can I create one editor diagram for
these two metamodel? and How?

Next, I plan to create a metamodel for these two metamodels and create then
the diagram editor.

Regards,

Kallel

Hi Kallel,

Please see the posting entitled "Use profile UML" from 4/8/2008.

Also, this might help ...
https://eclipsecon.greenmeetingsystems.com/submissions/view/ 172

Add the following Update Site URL to your Update Manager:
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/updates/EclipseCon2 008-UML-Tutorial/

The UML2Tools newsgroup might also offer some advice.

There are many different ways to create a diagram editor to do what you
want, you could use GMF tooling to auto generate code for you or you could
resort to using GEF etc.

Cheers,
- James.
