Hi,

The JSF Tools Project is planning to add a Visual Page Designer (VPD) in
the next major release, WTP 2.0. VPD is a graphical designer to help page
authors build JSF pages. Sybase Inc. has made a significant code
contribution in this area and it’s planned to be used as the base to
provide a rich set of features in the upcoming release.

We have posted a document on the wiki,
http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Visual_JSF_Page_Designer, that details
the list of features in the VPD. Please review and post your comments in
the development mailing list, wtp-jsf-dev@eclipse.org or through bugzilla.

Thanks

I have tried the initial sources of VPD from the bugzilla entry. And it
seems to provide also JSP and HTML visual editors. So wouldn't it be
better to be a part of the WTP project and provide the default editor
for .jsp and .html files? (rather than being downloaded separately with
JSF Tools)

Hello,

I tried to find out when this WTP 2.0 major release is planned but i
couldn't find a date or a planning. Is there a web page on the WTP
project page where some sort of planning is made visible...?

Thanks

Are you looking for WTP general information or information about when JSF
tooling will be released? For general WTP info, you should post this
question to eclipse.webtools. For JSF information our wiki is here:

http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/JSF_Tools_Project

and our main project page can be found under the main WTP page:
