Are you asking how to find all the available event ids or a specific event
id?

You can find out event names and ids using the tool OLE Viewer from
Microsoft:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/techinfo/reskit/tools/e xisting/oleview-o.asp

I have written a snippet to extract TypeInfo but it needs some work to
include everything that OleViewer provides:
