exe file for pulg-in project [message #464618]

using Squish Testing tool.

Squish expects an executable file to be given to execute and records the
events for our UI.

I was successful in making the executable for an RCP application of type
template - RCP Application with View and tested well using Squish

But for an RCP application of type template - Pulg-in project with a
View, I am unable to create Executable file , b'coz we'r in confusion as
to which file to use as the Application in the Product Configuration
Wizard.. B'coz for plug-in project of type Pulg-in Project With a View ,
we don't have Application file...

Can anyone help me this.....Its pretty urgent..

You will need to export a product that contains your plug-in.
Your can create a new Product Configuration file in your plug-in.
In the overview tab of the product configuration file, base it on plug-ins.
In the Configuration tab add your plug-in and click "Add Required Plug-ins".
you can then use this to export a standalone product that contains your plug-in
and an executable file.

Create a new product Id, and in the New Product Definition dialog, choose
org.eclipse.ui.ide.workbench for the application.
