Maybe star office or open office uses swt...but i dont know!

you know what swt is?
you are probably better of if you post your problem than a proposed
solution, so somebody may be able to help you.

no, it is c/c++ application, but there is java binding

yes you can read and write OO documents.
you can open OO document in java view (swing or swt) and it work like
document in OO - you can then manipulate with OO menus,toolbars, documents
and what ever
There is 1000 pages developer manual on openoffice.org.
Search DeveloperGuide.pdf or download source
