Display.getClientArea does not exclude the Panel on Linux... [message #448476]

On Windows Display.getClientArea will return the area of the desktop
minus the area of the "Start bar or Task bar". On Linux the area of the
entire screen is returned.

Is this a bug?

Is there any way to calculate the location and size of the Panel on Linux?
