New to Eclipse RCP: Building a MAC version on a WinXP PC? [message #447786] Sun, 16 April 2006 00:28 Go to next message

Hello,

at the moment I am thinking about developing a software using Eclipse RCP. We did a "normal"
Java/Swing version of this software, but it is in many senses "unhandy" and I am really impressed of
the Eclipse RCP framework after reading some articles about it! This software will run on a Mac but
will be developed on a Windows XP system. Will I be able to produce a Mac version on a WinXP machine?

I'm currently using Eclipse 3.1.

Thanks!

Yes, you can. You can install the 'delta pack' from eclipse.org, and you'll be able to export for a bunch of different operating systems including Mac.

Always a good idea to have a Mac handy to test though. Plus, it's a good excuse to try and convince your organisation to get you a MacBook Pro :-)
