Hello, folks,
<preface>
I know that this group is for discussion, specifically, about the SWT
stuff. I presume that this may be a good place to mention something,
however, regarding a /free/, /open/ resource, for general
computer-human interface information/designs/discussion-starters.
</preface>
The Open Video project has, apparently, received quite a number of
videos, on donation from the ACM. (While I am not an official
spokesperson about it, yet I've noticed it.) The videos appear to be,
all, the products of some reports made for a Computer-Human Interface
conference, performed - annually - on the part of the Association for
Computing Machinery [ACM].
The videos are, all, freely available.
I've noticed: The videos - some and/or many - may serve as being a
nice basis upon which some proverbial dust may be stirred up, in
regards to: Some possibilities for that exist, for inclusion in
some general computer-human interface designs.
The following URL should result in a list of the said CHI videos:
http://www.open-video.org/results.php?keyword_search=true&am p;terms=CHI
(and here's a raw, directory index of the videos, in case you'd need it:
http://www.ibiblio.org/openvideo/video/chi/
)
So, I hope that it serves to be of interest to folks.
("UI eye candy" it is not only, I presume.)
hasta o wiedersehen,
