I have 2 different SUSE linux machines with 2 different kernel OS.
On one machine (which is older kernel) Program.launch works fine. But on
the other machine, it fails. I did try to run Program.getPrograms and it
doesn't return any mime association on that machine. I know it's not SWT
issue but I think GNOME provides these associations to SWT libraries. My
question is how do I know which GNOME library is being used or how do
GNOME provides these associations to SWT. Or how do I go about debugging
this situation ?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Please open a bug report (Platform / SWT) with information like:
- swt/eclipse version
- desktop used (gnome, kde)
- version of Suse

We'll try to help from there.
