Is a Required Plug-in that Reexports a depency the same as making the
reexported Plug-in a (directly) Required Plug-in?
I want to group dependencies, but the above doesn't seem to do it for me.

Sounds like it should be, but I've not tried it to know for sure. I think this is the approach taken by the org.eclipse.core.resources plugin that depends on/re-exports some of the newer equinox packages. I'll try a test when I get the chance and let you know.
