org.eclipse.compare refactoring in eclipse 3.2 ?? [message #435809] Wed, 24 August 2005 03:13
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,
our RCP explores data objects (of a database) having a non IResource
interface.
Each data object can exist in different versions, we have to compare (and
merge).

The eclipse compare stuff is really cool, and we would ideally re-use the
org.eclipse.compare plugin.
The data objects have attributes, we could trim to the necessary text/stream
based interfaces.

Unfortunately, the plugin comes with dependencies to

org.eclipse.core.resources
org.eclipse.ui.ide

Are there any plans to get rid of these dependencies in a refactored compare
plugin in eclipse 3.2 , or any ideas
how to integrate the text-related stuff of the compare only??

Thanks in advance
