Dear friends,

EclipseUML is now fully integrated with Dali.
The goal of this integration is to respect Dali and plugins spirit in a
powerful JPA annotation merge architecture.

We have added the glue between JPA annotations and UML 2.1 metamodel using
the OMG standard stereotype model driven approach (see a JPA UML Class at:
http://www.forum-omondo.com/documentation_eclipseuml_2008/Ec lipse_Database/Create_New_JPA_Classes/contextual_menu_class_ diagram_class_created.png
).

EclipseUML allows to create the following mapping associations and save a
lot of time because writing all annotations on every getter (see
Association mapping menu at:
http://www.forum-omondo.com/documentation_eclipseuml_2008/Ec lipse_Database/Create_associations/database_mapping_menu.png
):

1. One to One
2. One to Many
3. Many to One
4. Many to Many

EclipseUML JEE build for Dali est available at:
EclipseUML as a plugin :
http://www.eclipsedownload.com/eclipseUML_E330_2008_studioEd ition_JEE_3.3.0.v20080423.jar
EclipseUML as full version (Stand Alone Eclipse executable file which
contains Eclipse 3.3., EclipseUML Studio Edition, EMF, GEF and UML2) is
available at :
http://www.eclipsedownload.com/eclipseUML_E330_2008_studioEd ition_JEE_3.3.0.v20080423_including_eclipse.exe

We consider that Database modeling is now changing from just a bottom up
development (from database to database model editor and code generation,
no real UML Model) to the full Pojo Cycle (top down from Model to
Database, and traditional bottom up).
Dali is offering new great opportunities to upload, manipulate Database
inside the Java code and a lot more... while EclipseUML add the graphical
presentation and UML merge using Stereotypes and Java reverse engineering.
This very powerful architecture allows to open new frontiers to
traditional persistence development in a top down cycle.
Database and UML 2.1 are now getting more and more closer.
what next ...?
