Hi to all,

i need to use one academic reference to ATL. I find this:

J. Bézivin, G. Dupé, F. Jouault, G.Pitette,J. E. Rougui, First
Experiments with the ATL Model Transformation Language: Transforming
XSLT intoXquery, 2nd OOPSLA Workhop on Generative Techniques in the
context of Model Driven Architecture, October 2003.

Do you think that is the best ?
Thxs.

Well, it is the "first experiment". So, if your point is to show how old
ATL is, it is probably appropriate.

However, much work has been done on ATL (and AMMA) since then.
Here are a couple of more recent publications:

Jouault, F, and Kurtev, I : On the Architectural Alignment of ATL and
QVT. In: Proceedings of the 2006 ACM Symposium on Applied Computing (SAC
06). ACM Press, Dijon, France, chapter Model transformation (MT 2006),
pages 1188—1195. 2006.

Jouault, F, and Kurtev, I : Transforming Models with ATL. In: Satellite
Events at the MoDELS 2005 Conference: MoDELS 2005 International
Workshops OCLWS, MoDeVA, MARTES, AOM, MTiP, WiSME, MODAUI, NfC, MDD,
WUsCAM, Montego Bay, Jamaica, October 2-7, 2005, Revised Selected
Papers, LNCS 3844, edited by Jean-Michel Bruel. Springer Berlin /
Heidelberg, pages 128—138. 2006.

And if you are not afraid by french:
Jouault, F : Contribution à l'étude des langages de transformation de
modèles. Phd thesis, Université de Nantes. 2006.

Note that you can find these (with links to full text for some of them)
on my publications page:

Best regards,

Frédéric Jouault
