Eclipse Data Tools [message #39400]

I have just loaded Eclipse Europa with WTP, I downloaded the all in one
zip eclipse-jee-europa-fall2-win32.zip and installed it into a new windows
XP professional 2000 with SP2. Everything went well. I then added tomcat
and actually created some projects and then added the Derby plugins. But
when it came time to create a Derby database, I tried:-
Window > Show View > Other and it's not showing the Data Tab. Right after
CVS is Debug.
I did an Eclipse -clean, I created a new workspace, I have even
re-installed it on another drive and nothing I do gets the Data view, so I
cannot create any databases.

Anybody have any idea what might be causing this ....

So it appears that version 3.2 uses connectivity and not data. I have been
able to use this, and it's fine.

The one issue I have is that the databases I create do not seem to be
stored all the time. If you close eclipse and then reload it, the
databases created on the databases tag do not seem to be saved.

In the Data Source Explorer view, you create a connection profile,
connect, see the contents, restart Eclipse, and the connection profile is
no longer present? If so, can you take a look in your eclipse\features
folder for "org.eclipse.datatools.connectivity.feature" and let me know
what version stamp is there? (It will look something like "1.0.0.20079261")
