Hello,

I am trying to edit an XML file directly from automatically generated
ECore in my RCP application.
However for every Ecore automatically generated from an XSD, EMF puts a
tag DocumentRoot.

I read this http://markmail.org/message/jk6m6rsz6shsomku from Ed, but i
cannot find any example of an XSD for which EMF doesn't put this
DocumentRoot tag.
Is there such an example?

To edit my XML files I am using OpenArchitectureWare's Generic Editor
with the *.ecore file in the schema location.

André,

Please use the EMF newsgroups for EMF questions. I've added it to the
"to" list of the reply.

The model itself will always have a DocumentRoot at the top, but if
you're using the right (the generated one) registered resource factory
the serialization itself won't have such an object...
