Dear all,

I'm using Europa 3.3.x and EMF 2.3 to develop some Ecore models in the
included Simple Ecore Model Editor. There is no issue in Windows XP SP2,
OSX 10.4 (Tiger), Ubuntu 7.x. A few days ago, I switched to Leopard and
faced with a strange issue. I describe in details as following:

For instance, there are two EClass A and B. I create an EReference of A,
called 'aRefToB'. Using mouse to manipulate on the Properties View, I
choose B as the EType of 'aRefToB', then I click immediately on any
other attribute row, for instance, EOpposite. It crashes. There is no
warning dialog after that, and no info from Error Log as well.

You can find some info from the (stripped down)-logs and the
configuration file attached here.

I really appreciate any of your comments.

Best regards,
Huy Tran

PS: I already submitted a bug report to Apple as well.

Huy,

It's best to use the EMF newsgroup for questions about EMF for any
future posts.

news://news.eclipse.org/eclipse.tools.emf

I've added it to the "to" list of the reply so you can continue to use
this thread for now.

When you say it crashes, you mean the whole VM just dies and Eclipse
goes away forcing a restart? That sounds like a bug in the JVM itself
or I suppose some native code like code in SWT could be at fault. I'm
not sure what I can suggest for that. I'm not sure it would be worth
while posting the information to the SWT newsgroup if folks there might
recognize if native code is involved in the issue. Perhaps if you just
hit enter rather then clicking on another property immediately you'll be
able to avoid whatever issue is crashing the JVM.

Sorry for annoying and many thanks for your kind arrangment.

I mean the whole VM and Eclipse go away.

That sounds like a bug in the JVM itself

Just because I did not know the relationship between EMF and SWT. That's
why I thought it was an EMF-related issue ;)

Perhaps if you just

You're absolutely right. That is the way now I use to get rid of crashing

You're absolutely right. That is the way now I use to get rid of crashing
