Hello,

I have worked with previous releases of MOFScript. I stopped for a
while, and now, I want to start again to create MOFScript files.

As I'm working with other Eclipse plugins that require the Eclipse
Europe release (that is the Version 3.3.0), I'll try to install MOFScript in
this new Eclipse version.

The installation has been made through the following update site:
http://www.modelbased.net/mofscript/update/

But when I start Eclipse I have two problems. On the one hand, I can't
edit my old .m2t mofscript files. And on the other hand, I can't create a
new MOFScript file. When I try to select New > Other > MOFScript > MOFScript
File, I obtain the following error:

The selected Wizard could not be started. Reason: Plugin
org.sintef.mofscript.editor was unable to load class
org.sintef.mofscript.editor.wizards. MofScript new Wizard.

The details are,

The selected wizards could not be started.

It seems that I have installed MOFScript 1.2.4 .

Is this error related to Eclipse Europe? and if so, are there any plans to
migrate MOFScript to Eclipse Europe?

Regards,

To

Reinstallation made.

It seems that although the .jar files have been deleted from the plugin
directory, there are some directories left. At last, I have been able to
install the plugin again by erasing manually these directories.

However, despite having installed again the plugin, the initial problem
remains the same, that is, neither I can edit my older mofscript files nor I
can create new ones.

Thanks, maybe you could bring light to the problem, because I also have
installed the Topcased toolset.

But let me repeat it, cause I think I didn't undersstand very well the
solution.

You state that you solved the problem installing again the topcased toolset,
but instead of using the update site, you have used the packages you have
referenced below. Then, you have installed again the mofscript plugin. Is
that right?

If this is right, it means that there is some kind of incompatibility
between MOFScript and some other plugin.

Hello!

Sorry for very very VERY late reply.

I just want to say that I still do have the same problem as you, Toni.

To make it crystal clear I say: I DO NOT HAVE SOLUTION. I don't state I
solved the problem.

When experimenting with the various Topcased 1.0 installations trying to
make the MOFScript working, I got one configuration which is working.
The problem is that I don't know/remember what installations step led to
this specific configuration. I just did pack the installation to a ZIP
file and keep it on a safe place together with my MOFScript development
workspace. It is my precious [Tolkien 1937].

It is also interesting that when I use this precious Topcased
configuration and switch to OTHER Topcased 1.0 workspace then, our error
is back and (!) even when going back to the prevously working workspace
I still have the error. I can't open the m2t files any longer! The only
way out is to delete the Topcased installation and unpack my precious to
be able to open m2t files again.

Conclusion:
The error is still there and is really really strange.

I haven't tried upgrading to Topcased 1.1 or 1.2. Have you?

Regards,
Ondrej 2

Have you?

Regards,
Ondrej 2

No, I haven't tried a new topcased release. What I have finally done is to
have two different Eclipse versions: Eclipse 3.2.2 with MOFScript, and
Eclipse Europa with Topcased.

Thanks for your late response,
