Any reasons why the preliminary OpenGL support for SWT on GTK was
removed from the CVS ?

Several files seem to have been deleted from the
org.eclipse.swt.opengl/gtk/* hierarchy some 4 weeks ago,
as you can see through viewcvs, the other SWT ports still have their
OpenGL files.

best regards

Vincent

Vincent,

That initial implementation had an external depedency, which was deemed to
not be an appropriate path to go down. It's being changed to remove this
dependency, and will be available again in CVS soon (I think by end of
month at the latest).

Hello,

I thought I would try this newgroup to see if I could find any info
about the GLContext issue as well and it looks like it is a common
problem. However, as is noted in this thread, the gtk stuff has been
removed from cvs.

At this point I am kinda of stuck until the code reappears in cvs. ;-)

G Grant, I realize that the gtk stuff isn't high on the list but would
you happen to know when the code may reappear?

For now I am just hobbling along with the stale code I got before it was
removed and it appears I need to make some sort of classpath entry
modification to fix the GLContext issue.

Would it be as simple as me modifying my stale gtk library with the
correct plugin.xml entries and .classpath entries?
